How do I get a Texas Real Estate license?

In order to attain a Real Estate Sales Agent license in the state of Texas, you must complete the educational requirements set forth by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), file a license application, and pass the state exam. The current educational requirement is 180 hours which is covered in six 30-hour courses.

Champions offers a convenient, all-inclusive package for $980 which includes everything you need in order to apply for a license and prepare for the state exam. I have finished all of my classes. Now what?
Once you have completed the 6 required courses, you will need to submit your license application, application fee, and class completion certificates to the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). You can file your license application directly from the TREC website and certificates can be emailed to Please visit our "Steps to a Texas Real Estate License" page for relevent links and additional information pertaining to this process.
Are the class materials included?
Yes. Our online Qualifying Education (and some Continuing Education) courses include a PDF version of the textbook material. A physical copy of the book is also included in the cost of tuition for all courses. If you would like a hard copy, you can pick one up from your local Champions campus free of charge or we can ship it to you for $8.00 per book (Additional shipping options are available).
Does Champions offer a payment plan option?
Champions offers students the choice between purchasing the courses independently or together as a package. Regardless of which method you choose, tuition must be paid in full at the time of enrollment. The individual courses that make up the packages are offered individually and can be purchased one-at-a-time as you move through the program. Keep in mind that purchasing the courses together in a package will always save you a little bit of money in the long run.
Which delivery method is right for me?

It really depends on your preferred learning style and what is most convenient for your given situation. Online-Correspondence provides the most schedule flexibility because of the self-paced nature of the courses and the ability to complete everything from your home. However, some may prefer an option that gives them the ability to watch and interact with an instructor. If that is the case, you may want to consider Blended Classroom (at a campus) or Live Broadcast (online via webcam). The same material is covered regardless of which method you choose so choose the option that suits you best. You can always transfer to a different delivery method if you find yourself unsatisfied with a delivery method (a $35 transfer fee applies if any of the homework or exams are accessed prior to the transfer).
