Required Loan Originator Courses
Each of the courses listed below are required by the NMLS in order to attain a Texas Loan Originator License. All of the courses are also available at a discounted rate when purchased together in one of the PE programs listed above.
20-Hour Mortgage Loan Originator SAFE Comprehensive (Online)
20 Credit Hours (NMLS)Take the required 20-Hour SAFE course completely online!
This 20-Hour SAFE course is required to become a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator. In this course, students will learn federal lending legislation (3 hrs), ethics (3 hrs), and nontraditional mortgage products (2 hrs). Also included are 12 hours of elective topics to provide a broad understanding of key concepts.

Important Information Related to 20-Hour SAFE Comprehensive Mortgage Loan Originator Fundamentals (Virtual Classroom) Course:
Textbook(s): A textbook is required to participate in any Live Broadcast class. Please obtain before the first day of class.
NMLS Missed Time Policy: As required by the NMLS, students in Loan QE/CE courses cannot miss more than 10 minutes of cumulative class time. Students who miss more than 10 minutes will be required to re-schedule at no charge.

Chapter quizzes and proctored exams are administered via your student account. These courses do not use textbooks and are best for self-paced learners.
Please Note - This delivery method is only available for all QE, select SAE and various CE courses.
These courses are delivered through a third-party completely online without the use of any textbooks. Course material is presented in online modules along with multiple choice quizzes and exams. Students must be able to access the internet to take this course format. This method is ideal for people who need to attend remotely but still prefer a guided learning experience.
