Required Loan Originator Courses

SAFE: Consumer Protection Home Lending Laws and Practices
6 Credit Hours (NMLS)Covers key areas of studey related to business practices of RMLOs.
This course provides six (6) hours of mandatory elective pre-licensure education (PE) information, which will ensure that you acquire proficiency in key areas of study related business practices of mortgage loan originators. Specifically this course covers the following topics: Fair housing, fair lending, advertising law and guidelines, borrower credit challenges and solutions, understanding the home appraisal process, and strategies for assisting self-employed applicants.

These courses are delivered through a third-party completely online without the use of any textbooks. Course material is presented in online modules along with multiple choice quizzes and exams. Students must be able to access the internet to take this course format. This method is ideal for people who need to attend remotely but still prefer a guided learning experience.
