Curriculum Development Division
1. We are very excited to have you at Champions – what is it about Champions School of Real Estate that drew you in to join our team?
“I first heard about Champions from a video I saw done by ShanShan Wei, a graduate of the school, and she was describing her experience with the school. She described how coming from China she had tried to take many other online courses to get her real estate license but she never really learned anything. She said not only was Champions convenient but the quality of the education she was receiving was definitely more useful to her and her career and she feels as though it better prepared her for the business of real estate. I thought “Hmm, a school that can make a student feel successful all the way in another country, that’s power and that’s impact and I want to be a part of that!”
2. Tell us a little bit about your background and what brought you to your new role at Champions.
“I have been teaching for the past 10 years, I’ve taught college level writing courses and high school all levels including AP Literature and Honors. I came to champions looking for a professional role in writing and to continue the passion that I have for educating others. I have experience developing courses for continuing education as well as curriculum for multiple districts. Ultimately though I understand the passion and patience it takes to create a quality text that is not only beneficial for students and their professors, but can be taken as a tool that will be used throughout the student’s career and professional life.”
3. Share three things – little–known facts, random trivia, etc. – that we’d be surprised to learn about you.
“a) I dress up for work every single day, even when I’m sick. I just believe in it. Typically its 1930s-1960s vintage clothing style, I just like the history and fashion of the time.
b) I like comic books and graphic novels and all the geeky endeavors that come with being a comic nerd. (I’m a major Ghostbusters, Star Wars, and Doctor Who fan just fyi J )
c) My life’s dream would be to end up in a documentary opposite Neil Degrasse Tyson and Michio Kaku discussing physics of the future
