In compliance with the New Jersey State Board of Real Estate Appraisers and the Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB), any person wanting to obtain an Appraisal License must complete the required education, submit an application and past a national examination. Statistics, Modeling, and Finance

From graphic analysis to measures of dispersion, this course takes you inside a range of topics relating to statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and the principles of real estate finance as they apply to the appraisal profession. You will advance your skills through demonstrations of mathematical and valuation modeling, automated valuation models (AVMs), and linear and multiple regression analysis. Review the role of the Federal Reserve System and the history of financing in the United States. This course is structured to conform to the 2008 Real Property Appraiser Qualification Criteria established by the AQB.

Supervising the Trainee Appraiser: National Regulations and Responsibilities

4 Credit Hours (TALCB)

A course that aims to assist in creating competent appraisers who promote and reinforce ethical appraisal practice.

The course commences with an overview of national and state appraisal regulatory bodies as well as a comprehensive discussion of the minimum AQB qualifying criteria for supervisory appraisers and the various appraiser classifications. Obligations of appraiser ethics and competency are also discussed with a focus on supervisory appraisers and trainees. The course concludes with specific roles and responsibilities of supervisory appraisers and trainee appraisers, including a final chapter that serves as a best practices checklist, designed to ensure thorough and meaningful supervisory oversight, and best practice development by trainees in appraisal development and reporting.
