Champions School of Real Estate Instructor becomes first in Texas to obtain the Certified Distance Education InstructorT (CDEI) designation.
Jack Merrill, a long time Real Estate and Appraisal instructor for Champions School of Real Estate® has become the first real estate instructor in Texas to earn the Certified Distance Education InstructorT (CDEI) designation. The CDEIT program is designed for those schools and instructors who offer education courses through a variety of distance education delivery methods such as the Internet, CBT and video-conferencing.
"When I was asked by Rita Santamaria to earn this designation, I jumped at the opportunity. Online courses and computer-based training are becoming more and more prevalent in the educational field and I wanted to learn about educational theory in these delivery methods and see how issues such as learning styles, motivation, and assessment are applied in the online education context. As of January 1, 2009 instructor(s) associated with distance education courses being submitted for ARELLO and/or IDECC (re)certification will be required to have the CDEIT designation. ARELLO-IDECC requires a qualified instructor to be associated with every certified course.
